Privacy policy

This site is run by Kobi Eliav. It is a personal project, and I keep what I collect to the minimum. Here is all of it, in plain words.

What I store, and why

• "Get new tools" sign-up: your email address, the date and time, the page you signed up on, and the exact consent text you agreed to. I use it only to email you when a new tool is ready, and about setup sessions if you signed up for those. I keep the consent record because Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) requires me to be able to show you agreed.
• "What should I build next?" form: the problem you describe, your name, and your email if you choose to give it. I use it to decide what to build next, and to reply to you about your idea. I only add you to the new-tools emails if you tick that box.
• Visit statistics: how many times each page is viewed and how many times the download buttons are clicked, with the browser type, screen size, country and the site that sent you. This is counted with GoatCounter. It uses no cookies, and it does not store your IP address or anything that identifies you.

What I don't do

• No tracking cookies and no advertising trackers.
• I never sell, rent or share your details with anyone.
• The tools themselves run on your own computer or in your own AI account. Using them does not send your data to me.

Where it is kept

Form entries are saved in a private Google Sheets spreadsheet in my own Google account. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, and visit statistics are kept by GoatCounter. These services process data for me only to run the site.

How long I keep it

Sign-up emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them. Ideas are kept for up to two years, unless you ask me to delete them sooner.

Unsubscribe or delete your data

Every email I send has an unsubscribe link. To see, correct or delete what I hold about you, email hello@youcanbuildthistoo.com from the address you used, or tell me which name and idea to remove. I'll do it within 10 business days and confirm by email.

Changes

If this policy changes, I'll update the date at the top of this page. If the change is important, I'll tell sign-ups by email before it takes effect.
